Why doesn't anyone comment on the Harris hit on Sanchez when he was sliding feet first? No flag? What gives?

Although it was a "hit", and should have been called, it wasn't devastating...or game changing.
Or if you're into conspiracies... the league told the officials not to call any penalties against the Steelers, setting up a Green Bay -Pittsburgh Super bowl. |

Right, and a couple of the "holding" calls made against the Jets in the 1Q were away from the play, yet managed to extend drives and led to TD's for the Steelers.
As it turns out, an extra 15 yards on the Harrison illegal hit if nothing else would've saved time the Jets desperately needed at the end of the game. I don;t think it's a conspiracy theory issue, I just think the officials blew the call... The same way they blew the call in last years AFC championship game when Sanchez took a vicious hit after getting rid of the ball and no flag came. Officiating stinks. |

The Steelers were screwed by refs during the season worse than any team I have ever seen. The fact that they got a couple of calls their way against the Ravens and the Jets is only fair. Don't forget the non call on obvious pass int in the first steeler game. If the refs called that, we might not have even made the playoffs.

I wrote on here directly after the game that I thought there were a lot of questionable calls and non calls. I thought they went exceptionally hard on the Jets and exceptionally easy on the Steelers. I think you put all the questionable calls together such as the forward pass thing or fumble with Sanchez and it did affect the outcome of the game. If they had called that as a forward pass, the Steelers would have been minus a touchdown which means in the end we would have won or tried if the game had continued on the same path. Even the commentators were divided on that one. I saw the replay several times and to me it looked like a forward pass.
