Default Dungy VS. Ryan controversey

Unless I missed it I don't see where it has been discussed
on here but it certainly is exploding on a lot of boards.

You all know what Dungy said about Rex and all I am going to
say is that if Dungy won't hire Rex because he curses and
he wants goodell to look into it, how then would he might
want to hire Michael Vick who served time for clubbing and
electroceuting dogs to death.

Although Rex mentioned it in his PC today I wonder if
it comes up on Hard Knocks tonite.

Tony Dungy is a nice guy and he was a good coach. But he's a sissy and a half. He wouldn't survive a day in Rex's world. They should settle their differences by having a celebrity boxing match. Gee, I wonder who would win that. Not to mention, he looks like ET.

That's an excellent point. Rex's style is different than his. Dungy can teach his own way but COME ON MAN, its football we are talking about here. Anyone who played any form of football knows that most coaches curse. It gets people fired up and ready to play. Just because it doesn't work for him doesn't mean it won't work for another coach. I think Dungy needs to tone it down and mind his own business. Who knows, a few years from now, he might be known for molesting kids for all we know. I think its non-sense. Teach your kids your values but don't tell another man what to do especially when he is successful and well liked by his players.

I don't know about the good coach. In TB and Indy
he always had good coaches with him, Tom Moore, Monte Kiffin
and there was another whose name escapes me now and it
didn't hurt to have Peyton Manning.
Maybe I'm just looking for reasons to slam him. LOL

Well, I say good coach only because he has a SB ring. You're right, he was always surrounded by top notch coaches and Peyton Manning is the greatest QB since Elway and Marino retired.

If Dungy had more intensity and fire in his coaching he might have won more super bowl rings.

I've certainly lost a lot of respect for Tony Dungy. His statements were the definition of no class. To say "I wouldn't hire a guy like that." is wrong. You are there to talk about football, not about the way someone talks. He's a grown man, he can cuss all he wants. This is a man's game. I remember way back when when I was playing pop warner football at age 10 and my coaches would be cursing their heads off. Now that's wrong, but still it's football.

Tony Dungy, please worry about YOUR own business.
