Default Forget about Schotty leaving.. Bob Suttoncould be on his way out

I've heard from a couple of Giant Fans and read an article on ESPN Insider that Bob Sutton is a candidate for there vacant DC job.... this would be a HUGE loss for the Jets if Bob goes.. but in any case he deserves it and very loyal coach and one of the great minds in the NFL

Yeah really. I think he was demoted to linebackers coach or something.

Bob can go with Schotty after this season for all I care. I wouldn't mind looking into Jim Zorn as our OC. I know he wasn't the best HC but he didn't have the best team either and Washington was about to draft Sanchez so he might like coaching Sanchez.

no thanks. i like the idea of staying in-house and promoting
O-line coach bill callahan. he was the OC for the raiders
when gruden had them at/near the top of the afc with a very
good offense. plus, having worked within the system for 2
seasons now, i'm going to make the broad assumption that
the terminology should remain largely intact, thereby
decreasing the learning curve for sanchez...

Uh, where were you last year? Sutton was the DC. He got demoted because he did an AWFUL job. It may or may not have been his fault depending on how you speculate on Mangini's involvement but he was demoted regardless.

haha sorry i only read that and thought about who got demoted this year.

as soon as i read it i remembered ryan bringing pettine with him.

so what does sutton do now, since ryan is really the DC anyway. does he make sure theres a cooler of gatorade set aside to dump on ryan?

LOL, he was busy Sunday night then. Actually he's the senior defensive assistant and linebackers coach. Actually doing a much better job in that role.
