Default some thoughts about last nites game

I know some don't like Schotty, but his installing Brad
Smith as an integral part of the offense the last two games
and taking the pressure off Sanchez has sealed his postion
as OC or consideration for a HC job. Did you notice the high five
between Ryan and him after a Brad Smith run.

anyone notice that Wallace Wright was the third receiver last nite.

Were there any Jet injuries? I noticed David Harris didn't
play the second half.

Does it seem that the Jet defenders are going after
stripping the ball from the QB rather than sacking them?

I've had my issues with Shotty, but as was said on the live chat, he called a great game. I have to admit that when I saw Smith in the wildcat/seminole on 3rd and 6 I was thinking that it was a play call because it was a run with 6 yards to go but hey, Smith almost took it to the house so I can't argue with it.
I loved what he did with Smith as well GT - the option stuff with Greene, or even Smith just handing it off to Greene - simple but confusing the defence.

I saw Clowney was inactive - I didn't see him on the friday injury report - has he lost his position to Wright?

Denny, good post. These were all major contributors to our success last night. I eventually came around a couple of weeks ago and said I wouldn't be upset if Shotty was fired. I even said I thought there was little that he could do to change my mind. I was right, he did a lot more than a little, which is why I agree with you when you say he saved his job, or at least earned the right to talk to Buffalo, who had to be watching his performance last night. Maybe things are finally working for Shotty, just like things seemd to be finally working for this team last night. Our success and his however may be his path to the great head coaching job in the sky, or at least a little further north with Buffalo.

I was also mad that Ainge ... THE FUTURE OF THIS TEAM... was once again inactive. When are Rex and Schotty going to come to their senses and start Ainge. Sanchez only had 63 yards last night!

you sir are insane, Ainge being the future of this team is as likely as Jim Zorn becoming the head coach of the Patriots..or any team for that matter, Sanchez is a Rookie and right now he is our quarterback, he is our hope, you cant just give up on him, We'll see next week what happens

It saddens me to see the nuances of sarcasm fall, unseen by some.

Mark Sanchez and the "O" played extremely well last night and played as well as their defence and is why they won the game and although Mark had only 63 yrds passing he made decisions (he passed only when he saw openings) that were key in helping the team win the game.

This game did not rely solely on the defence

It gives us some hope going into next week. I'm sure we will not see the same Cincy team we saw last night but the way we ran the ball & played D was very impressive.
