Default Where to Tailgate prior to game?

Good Afternoon JET Fans,

Houston Texans fan here. Me and a few buddies will be traveling to New York for the 1st time for the Texans Vs. Jets game. We have booked our airfare, and currently looking for hotels and game tickets.

My question is, do yall have any tailgate areas fans can go to, where you can eat, drink, listen to music, etc. prior to kickoff? I know we will be riding the train in, so we won't be tailgating at our vehicles like we do here in Houston.

Just curious where we can drink some beers and tailgate. Whether in a sports bar nearby, a public area for tailgating, or wherever.

Any information is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Should be a great game come Oct. 8th

Brian

See your other post I responded to for some answers. There is a public area, but if you can join a tailgate that would be best. We have about 25-35 people at ours. I'm have about 5 or 6 guys come up from PR this year to see the game. They've been coming up for the last 5 years. They have a blast. PM me and we can talk.

He beat me to the Punch! I am part of the same group I think you will have fun. I have invited some Arizona Cardinal fans to our group in DEC.

You know, he is from Texas, so the music question seems almost silly. I would be suprised if it isn't modern rock country or an older style twang. You can't call yourself a Texan if you don't at least appreciate one or the other

As far as music goes, I like a very diverse mix. Rock, Hip-Hop, a little.... country. It's funny that whenever we go out of town and say "We're from Texas" the 1st few comments are "You ride Cattle?" or "You live on a farm" LOL.

I respond, I live just south of downtown Houston, never been on a horse, cow or whatever lol. Don't wear Cowboy boots and I don't live on a farm.

What I do love is beautiful woman, cold beer, good music, BBQ'N, and FOOTBALL! High-school, College, and mostly Pro Football - Texans of course.

Rock - Staind, Chevelle, Godsmack, Breaking Benjamin
Hip Hop - All kinds of artist
Country - Jason Aldean, Pat Green, and others.

I'm really looking forward to going up to New York, NY for the 1st time. I'm at work now, but when I get home I'll post some pictures of our Tailgates at Reliant. We will do you guys a favor on Opening Day and whip up on the Dolphins for ya. Not that they will be in any contention for the division...

Looking forward to meeting yall. Thanks for all of the info.

Brian
