Default Saints Bounty Controversy

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d...headline_stack

Interesting expose on what the Saints allegedly did to put bounties on opposing team's players, including Brett Favre.

Likely some heavy fines coming their way.

I know it would be against CBA rules to have awarded monetary prizes for in game actions like int's, forced fumbles, big stops on significant downs, etc but I honestly wouldn't have any problem with things of that nature occurring. Having a system in place that rewards injuring another person is just plain disturbing to me though.

The last big scandal I recall was spygate but as much as I hate the Pats this to me is a lot worse, I don't understand how a reward system could be in pace for causing harm to another person and quite possibly jeopardizing that person's career. If this is true it is despicable in my opinion.

Who cares, im sure Rex does this.
If you dont tell your team to take out their top guy then you dont wanna win.

Doesn't sound like wisdom but a poor attempt to justify self serving actions to me.

RIP Sportsmanship.... Is that what you are saying? A sport like football, where these things are allowed to happen can destroy a person's life. Literally.

Big difference between cheering for a sack, and paying someone to knock someone out of a game.

Obviously not kill them but give them a good shot to knock them silly.

Jets Patriots Divisional game; Tom Brady injures elbow right before half. The Live chat exploded with chants to keep hitting the elbow. You KNOW Rex told them to go for it.
You know exactly what your in for when you put on the pads.

1 word: Classless
And espn wouldn't shut up about how winning the bowl that year would show how far they came since hurricane Katrina. Congrats on Putting a price on trying to end the career of one of the all time great QB's. Never was a fan of New Orleans

As I am not surprised by this revelation, I am surprised that someone like Vilma who makes $5mm a year needs another $10k?

Maybe so it's a notch on his discount double check belt, LOL!

This is all simply rediculous!

I'm sure the Saints aren't the only team doing this sort of thing.
