Default Best qb situation for the Jets. Get...............

dump this Kevin Con. , move Brunell back to 3 and go get Gerrard ..
if mark goes down for any extended period we may be 8-8 ..

i feel like Gerrard could carry us a few weeks...

your thoughts ?

I agree about O'Connell sucking. But we're good at qb. And if Sanchez doesn't fall out of favor, we're good next season too. But if Sanchez gets shut down due to injury, then Garrard is a good idea.

I like the thought process, but frankly, that is entirely too much money to pay a backup. Guy is due like 9 mil this season and I can't imagine he settles for less than 7 with so many teams out there in search of decent quarterbacks. I wouldn't be suprised to see this kid in Miami pretty soon.

I don't know how people can say O'connell is bad. Go to training camp and actually see that he makes good throws and is a good solid backup...

at that rate why not try and get carson palmer. I read somewhere he is talking to the bengals about coming out of retirement. If Sanchez goes down, he would be a good alternate.

first: carson palmer is not going to be a backup.

second: david garrard is garbage. he was just cut for LUKE MCCOWN. agin, LUKE MCCOWN. i wonder if mccown was available would we all be pining for him? because according to a professional football front office he's better than garrard.

i doubt it. it's like we hear a name and we just have to have him. the grass is not always greener on the other side guys. what has oconnel done to everyone to make us all hate him so bad?

and brunell too for that matter. he's got a couple minor injuries that will heal. last year half the people on here were calling for sanchez to be benched and brunell to play. now brunell is about a year older and suddenly he has nothing at all to offer the team as a backup?

there's just no making some people happy
