Yep, there's always a goat when a team loses. I live in New England and Boston made Bill Buckner the biggest goat of all-time in the '86 World Series. He got blamed for them losing the WS that year even though the Sox were leading the series 3-2 at that point. They still lost the next game. It really ruined that guys life. People are ruthless.

Awesome man, I'll check out the thread. I did see it and as bone headed of a play as the roughing the passer was, we were still up by 10 and Gastineau was made the goat. Granted, not a smart play but we were up by 10, I think at the end of the game and we let them come back. Plus, Joe Walton admitted it was one of the worst games he ever called as a coach. So, not entirely Gastineau's fault.
