Has anyone else noticed that the Meadowlands security is getting a little out of hand lately at Jets games? I was at the Chiefs game a few weeks back and saw a KC fan get thrown out for standing up and playing with the crowd... yeah, he sux, but come on, he is just cheering for his team, never made any aggressive moves or anything. But what was worse, the security guard (ID #1244) was pushing him from behind every step of the way done the 20 steps in the upper tier... these were hard shoves that were not deserved, and dangerous on the steep steps of the upper. Here is where it gets worse, right by the tunnel the security guard in question (#1244) grabbed 2 Jets fans (one couldn't have been older than 16) by the back of the jerseys and literally dragged them down a few steps and out through the tunnel for what could not have been more than saying something to the KC fan that was being ejected. This guy was outta control and using brute force for no reason at all.

This week I saw jets fans in the upper getting escorted out for standing up and cheering... are we no longer allowed to stand up at a Jets game? What is going on?

Anyway, if anyone has noticed anything like this, or witnessed any security guards using excessive force (especially #1244) please respond. I understand they want the stadium to be fan friendly for all, and that is an issue that needs to be improved, but at the same time, we shouldn't have to be scared of being attacked by Rogue Security guards at Jets games who grab random fans and throw them out for no reason.

This is a great move by the Jets. Anytime you can increase the experience for the majority of the population it is a good move.

They call it the no fun league for a reason. I can't stand what they've done with stadium policy the last 5 years, they're trying to turn the place into Disney World. When I was a kid my father wouldn't dare bring to games because our seats are in the upper deck and the fans are animals. I didn't start going until I was about 12. Now with the escalating prices and the lack of fun, I gave up my tickets after last year. Last years KC game to close out the season was the most boring game I've ever been to, no alcohol and state troopers gaurding the spirals. Even worse was at the end of the game there was a guy sitting behind me whining about we're blowing another game, turns out we won in OT anyway. But seriously what real fan wanted the Jets to be 4-12 and not 3-13? Did this guy know anything? that win got us Gholston instead of Matt Ryan or Darren McFadden. And there were a number of fans upset that we were about to loose.

anyway, what I didn't mention before was that I tried to take a picture of this guy (security guard #1244) as he repeatedly shoved a fan down the concourse for asking him for his badge number, when he saw me holding up my camera phone to take the pic, he ran at me and threw me into a wall... I knocked over a garbage can, fell to the ground, and my $500 iPhone ended up in the garbage filled with beer.

When a guy in a suit came over to help me up asking what happened, he let me dig my phone out of the garbage (humiliating) then told me to come with him. I thought I was going with him as a witness against this security guard, but it turned out that after sitting in some makeshift courtroom in the bowels of Giants Stadium for the entire 2nd half, I was called up to the desk to sign a form confirming that I was ejected for improper behavior and banned from the Meadowlands until I wrote a letter to the VP of security asking to be reinstated.

So I was banned form the stadium for the near future, my $500 phone was broken, I missed the entire second half of the KC game... all because I saw a security guard roughing people up and tried to take a picture of it... horrible experience for me.

Now I go to games and every time I see a security guard running up the stairs in my section, I get nervous. I feel like if they catch me looking at them the wrong way I can get dragged out of my seat and ejected.
